“We are an American family and we rise and we fall together as one nation and as one people.” This country has more wealth than any nation, but that’s not what makes us rich. We have the most powerful military in history but, that’s not what makes us strong. Our university, our culture, the envy of the world, but that’s not what keeps the world coming to our shores. What makes America exceptional are the binds that hold together the most diverse nation on earth. The belief that our is shared, that this country only works when we accept certain obligations to one another, and the future generations so that the freedom which so many Americans fought for and died for comes with responsibilities, as well as rights, and among those are love and charity and duty and patriotism. That’s what makes America great! Fascinator Hats for Women. Dress like Royalty for a fraction of the price.
America I believe we can build on the progress we’ve made and continue to fight for new jobs and new opportunity and new security for the middle class. I believe we can keep the promise of our founding fathers. The idea that if you’re willing to work hard… It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from or what you look like or where you love. It doesn’t matter whether you’re Black or White or Hispanic or Asian or Native American or young or old or rich or poor, able, disabled, gay, or straight. You could make it here in America if you’re willing to try.
I believe that we can seize this future together because we are not as divided as our politics suggest. We are not as cynical as the pundits believe. We are greater than the sum of our individual ambitions and we remain more than a collection of red states and blue states. We are and forever will be the United States of America and together with your help and God’s grace we will continue our journey forward and remind the world just why it is that we live in the greatest nation on earth! http://youtu.be/nv9NwKAjmt0
Being president doesn’t change who you are it reveals who you are.— Michelle Obama
First Lady Michelle Obama delivers a groundbreaking address to the nation at the D.N.C. (democratic national convention.) “How hard you work means more than how much you make.” “Being president doesn’t change who you are it reveals who you are.” Women are more than capable of making our own choices about our bodies and our health care… that’s what my husband stands for. He wants everyone in this country to have the same opportunity no matter who we are, no matter where we’re from, or what we look like or who we love. He believes that when you’ve worked hard and done well and walked thru that door of opportunity you do not slam it shut behind you no, you reach back and give other folks the same chances that helped you succeed. “Doing the impossible is the history of this nation. It is who we are as Americans. It is how this country was built. If farmers and blacksmiths could win independence from an empire, If immigrants could leave behind everything they knew for a better life on our shores, If women could be dragged to jail for seeking the vote, if a generation could defeat a depression and define greatness for all time,if a young preacher could lift us to the mountain top with his righteous dream, and if proud Americans could be who they are and boldly stand at the alter with who they love then surely… surely we can give everyone in this country a fair chance at that great American dream.
“Michelle Obama Says… “Success isn’t About How Much Money You Make it’s About the Difference You Make in People’s Lives!”
Former President Bill Clinton Speaks at the DNC
Poverty, discrimination, and ignorance restricts growth. When you stifle human potential, when you don’t invest in new ideas it doesn’t just cut off the people who are effected it hurts us all. “Nobody’s right all the time and a broken clock is right twice a day.” Democracy doesn’t have to be a blood sport it can be an honorable enterprise that advances the public interest. I like the reason for President Obama’s election a lot better. He inherited a deeply damaged economy, he put a floor under the crash, he began the long hard road to recovery and laid the modern foundation for a modern more well balanced economy that will produce millions of good new jobs, vibrant businesses, and lots of new wealth for innovators. We’ve gotta deal with this big long term debt problem or the debt will deal with us. The Romney plan fails the first test of fiscal responsibility the numbers just don’t add up.
How did we get four surpluses in a row? What new ideas did we bring to Washington? I always give a one word answer arithmetic.–Bill Clinton
President Barack Obama’s speech at the DNC Proud American
If you’re sick of hearing me approve this message believe me so am I. They want your vote (Republicans), but they don’t want you to know their plan. That’s because all they’ve had to offer is the same prescriptions they’ve offered for the past 30 years. Have a surplus? Try a tax cut Deficit too high? Try another. Feel a cold coming on? Take two tax cuts, roll back some regulations, and call us in the morning. No one who fights for this country should have to fight for a job or for a roof over their head or for the care that they need when they come home. Now we have a choice. My opponent and his running mate are new to foreign policy, but from all that we’ve seen and heard they wanna take us back to an era of blustering and blundering that cost America so dearly. After all, you don’t call Russia our #1 enemy, not Al Qaida, Russia, unless you’re still stuck in a cold war mind warp. You might not be ready for a diplomacy with Beijing if you can’t visit the Olympics without insulting our closest allies. The election four years ago wasn’t about me it was about you. You’re the reason( Americans). If you give up on the idea that your voices can make a difference then others will fill the void. the lobbyist.. special interests the people with the 10 million dollar checks that are trying to buy this election and those who are trying to make it harder for you to vote. I’m no longer just a candidate I’m the president… I’ve shared the pain of families that have lost their homes. knowing exactly what Lincoln meant when said I’ve been driven to my knees many times by the overwhelming conviction that I had no place to go, as I stand here tonight I have never been more hopeful about America… I am hopeful because of you.
America I never said this journey would be easy and I won’t promise that now. Yes, our path is harder, but it leads to a better place. Yes, our road is longer, but we travel it together… We don’t turn back… we leave no one behind, we pull each other up. We draw strength from our victories and we learn from our mistakes, but we keep our eyes fixed on that distant horizon knowing that prominence is with us and that we are surely blessed to be citizens of the greatest nation on earth.
We did in 2008 and we still can in 2012… “Yes We Can.”–@Fantasy_5
“There will be setbacks and false starts, there will be many that will not agree with every decision that I make as president, and we know that the government can’t solve every problem, but I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face.”I will listen to you especially when we disagree.” “America we have come so far, we’ve seen so much, but there’s so much more to do. If our children should live to see the next century if my daughters should be so lucky to live as long as Ann Nixon Cooper what change will they see what progress will we have made this is our chance to make that call this is our moment this is our time to put our people back to work and to open doors of opportunity for our kids. to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace to reclaim the American dream an to reaffirm that fundamental truth.
Out of many we are one, while we breathe we hope, and where we are met with cynicism and doubt and those who tell us that we can’t we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people “yes we can.”–President Barack Obama
“We are passionate about beings that have been blessed with the ability to move mountains with their minds.”
