Bayou Classic’s Fanfest 2012
This year I attended the Bayou Classic’s Fan Fest 2012 and I must say… oh, how soon I had come to the realization that I’ve been missing one hell of a party. There were performances by local and national artist. Some of the performers were 3D Natee, Omarion, Tito Lopez, Juicy J, Rantz, Kevin Gates, Utp Skip, and The 8 9 Boyz. It was explosive and truly an out of body experience! There were so many fans and supporters that even if I wanted to do an actual head count… I wouldn’t have known where to begin. Have you ever heard the saying “strength in numbers?” It’s An idiomatic expression which means an emotional and morale strength drawn from a group of people. There was so much love and unity from the crowd that if they were a pandemic they would wipe out the entire world.
It was a movie… real live action! All types of press were there; including Fox 8 News, The Heat Magazine, 2 Cent, Phat Phat N All That, The Cookie Jar, Shive Magazine, and My Attitude Clothing “Where smart and sassy meet.” (my wardrobe was provided by #myattidude) Coppertop is from New Orleans and currently resides in Baton Rouge, LA. He an unsigned artist that has been on the scene for six years now. Sometimes being and artist comes with the struggle. He’s traveled to places like Washington D.C., Miami, and Houston. performed at South by Southwest, and the AC3 Festival just to name a few major events. He performed his hit single “I Think They On Me!” His independent label is Coppertop Music.
Tito Lopez is from Gulf Port, Mississippi and has also been rapping for about six years. He is currently signed to Capital Records. Although this is my first time performing at Fan Fest, I think it’s incredible, says Tito Lopez. Anything that comes out of New Orleans I always support. “I’m a fan and an artist.” He will be dropping his album sometime this summer.
The Q Crew (Q 93) was all the way #turntup
That’s a wrap! If you missed it we’ll meet you at Champion’s Square (Mercedes-Benz Superdome) next year!
