Q: Fantasy: Tell us who you are, where you’re from, and what you do for a living. How you got started in this industry.

A: Ceddi Tesla: Well Fantasy, I appreciate you interviewing me. I’m originally from New Orleans. I grew up in New Orleans East. The industry its-self… I basically started when I was a kid just with my dad and my family and you know just DJ’ing and making music and different things of that nature. So, I would say you know I grew up around it… so that would be where I go started.

Q: Fantasy: The name Ceddi Tesla where did it derive from? Who inspires you? Why?

A: Ceddi Tesla: The name Ceddi Tesla… Ceddi , of course, was more of the feminine…  females called me Ceddi . Tesla was a scientist Nikola Tesla. Always inspired me when I was in school and his work as a whole hasn’t really been touched on picked up on in the last 100 years so. I just figured I could highlight that and someone could catch a spark and be like hey! Let me look into who Nikola Tesla was and some of his work. You know some of the modern-day things that we enjoy come from him and I don’t think he gets a lot of publicity as a scientist.

Q: Fantasy: Can you elaborate on some of those things for those of us that are not at all familiar with Nikola Tesla… just in case we want to go and do some research?

A: Ceddi Tesla: He’s responsible for the way that we transmit energy. AC (alternating current), The Tesla Coil was named after him; the lasers and radar. Our modern-day wireless cell phone; In the early 1900’s, he was already doing that… transmitting data wirelessly. I think his greatest idea… his greatest work came from the idea that we can produce our own energy out of everything that’s around us. He had patents and different things on that, but because of Edisons invention and the billions of dollars that were invested during that time, it kind of covered up a lot of his work. And a lot of his theories he was much farther advanced than a lot of scientists during that time. I just think that if it’s researched and a person that’s in that industry can catch on to a lot of his patents and different things of that nature… we would have some major renovation that we haven’t had in the last 100 years.

Nikola TeslaA Tesla coil is an electrical resonant transformer circuit invented by Nikola Tesla around 1891.[1] It is used to produce high-voltage, low-current, high frequency alternating-current electricity.Tesla coils produce higher current than the other source of high-voltage discharges, electrostatic machines. Tesla experimented with a number of different configurations and they consist of two, or sometimes three, coupled resonant electric circuits.Tesla used these coils to conduct innovative experiments in electrical lighting, phosphorescence, x-ray generation, high frequency alternating current phenomena, electrotherapy, and the transmission of electrical energy without wires. Tesla coil circuits were used commercially in sparkgap radio transmitters for wireless telegraphy until the 1920s,[1][2][3] and in pseudomedical equipment such as electrotherapy and violet ray devices. Today their main use is for entertainment and educational displays.

Q: Fantasy: What schools did you attend when you were a kid? Tell us about your childhood. What type of people did you hang out with? What did you do for fun?

A: Ceddi Tesla: Well for elementary school… I grew up in Michoud so I attended Etienne De Bore’ which is… now and I went to Fannie for a little while (Fannie C. Williams) and also Livingston. From Liv (Livingston) I went to Abramson and New Orleans Science & Math high school. I left there to pursue sports because I figured that would get me out of my situation… growing up in the goose in the New Orleans East.

Q: Fantasy: So were you like a big science and math geek?

A: Ceddi Tesla: Yeah! I had a pretty great appreciation for a lot of science and mathematics. I would say yes! I just didn’t have the type of supporting cats (friends) around me that would encourage more thinking or more of a career in that path. It was kind of new thing for me. My parents always felt that I was private and a lot of my dealings. I Never really looked at pursuing it as an out-right career… I blame myself for that. You know, you could always reinvent yourself at any given time.

Q: Fantasy: What sport did you play and how good were you at this particular sport?

A: Ceddi Tesla: I played football, soccer… I played a little baseball. As far as my skill level I was around a lot of talented people so, I just kind of fell in where I could contribute. I wound up being an all-district soccer player. I don’t know how that happened. That was fun. It was a fun experience. Baseball we played in the outside league so that was a good experience, but my main sport was mostly football.

Q: Fantasy: Tell us about your childhood what type of people did you hang out with… what you did for fun.

A: Ceddi Tesla: Basically listened to Music with my family. I’m a real family oriented person and my house was like the house to come to when it came to entertainment or just having a good time so the kids in the neighborhood and I we would all get together and rap. Rap battling was the thing so we would get together and do our thing like that and play sports all day… ride bikes. Kid stuff you know just basic kid stuff. I had a good life. Even when we were growing up we didn’t have a lot,  or have much it was still my dad provided a good experience for us growing up. So I appreciate him for that.

: Q:Fantasy: When you DJ what gives you the greatest joy… is it the satisfaction that you receive or your overall love and passion for the art? Please elaborate.

A:Ceddi Tesla: I think it’s the love for the art. I really get a kick out of people just having a good time. I wish I could just invite everybody to come and just have a good time and cool out. That’s my nature to just embody.. just having a good time to see everyone comfortable and laid back. I’m a sound guy so, I like to hear quality sound. I don’t like music just coming out blasting and the quality isn’t there. I make it a point to have quality sound. The music part is the easy part, but just providing that quality sound and the right equipment is my expertise. That’s what I mostly focus on.

Q: Fantasy: I hear that you’re into the stock market. How did you get involved? What has been your experience with it thus far?

A: Ceddi Tesla: The stock market is like the backbone to me being where I am in life right now. I mean… outside of the spiritual things of course, but that ties into it I guess. The stock market is the only business that you can actually practice before you put real money into actually investing and basically getting your craft to be what it is. No matter what your background is you can involve yourself in a level stocking. People say, “oh the stock market is risky.” There is a level of risk involved,  but if you structure it right… I learned from the best head managers out there so a lot of things become automatic.

Q: Fantasy: If you were asked to teach a course on the stock market to high school students what key points would you teach them; In terms of how to become successful, how to remain that way, and how to generate revenue?

The first thing that I would do is to show them how to actually open up a brokerage account and the ins and outs of a brokerage account. Then I would take them from there to more of your basic fundamentals that happen whether you like it or not.

Just like life (within the stock market) you have your ups and downs.–Ceddi Tesla

Stocks Rising

Stocks Rising

Stocks Falling

Stocks Falling

It’s just that they’re controlled by a lot of the buying power and different things and the indicators that are set for a particular price and just the fundamentals that go into evaluating and doing your analysis on a company. The main thing is practice, practice, practice. Know your industry, know your companies because you’re not going to get good with everything. You’re going to get good with like one or two strategies that might work for you or what have you and you just take that and you go with it. That would be the focal point that I would take a high school student and just teaching them about the value of money and what to do with compound interest its self. Just basically doing the right things with your money to kind of make it snowball.

The more money you have the easier it gets believe it or not.
