Q:Fantasy: What is the Go DJ’s Bayou Urban Music Conference? When was the BUMC established? What’s the sole purpose for this event? Who are the founders? What role do they play in the industry?

A:Go DJ Black N Mild: The BUMC Network Suite is our yearly music conference that takes place the first weekend of Govember(November). The BUMC Network Suite was established in 2008, we are in our 4th year. The purpose of the BUMC is to bring together the regional music industry for networking purposes. The concept was conceived by myself but my Go Fam has also helped tremendously with planning and execution.

Q:Fantasy: What can attendees expect to learn and see during this event? In other words, what’s the overall experience that you hope for them to gain? Who will be some of the performers this year? Who were some of the past performers? Who were some of the guest host(s), DJ’s, artists, and panel members? What’s the purpose of the panel (i.e. what type of feedback can performers expect from them)

A:Go DJ Black N Mild: Attendees can expect to learn about modern promotions, copyright information, inner workings of radio (traditional & internet) and more! This year’s performers are TBD now but we will be honoring these Louisiana legends: Wild Wayne, PNC, Dj Marquis, Dj Nonstop & Dj Raj Smoove. Past performers have included Papa Rue, Mannie Fresh, B.G., Fiend, Mia X, Ms. Tee just to name a few. This year’s guest hosts, and panel members are still being gathered at the moment. The panels will range from radio & promotion to modeling & health care. We are bringing more information to the attendees than ever before.

Q:Fantasy: What’s the cost breakdown (i.e. what does the artist performance package include with the cost… number of songs they can perform. Etc.) Product distribution and set up, (how will the products be distributed… via e-blast, #of DJ’s the info will reach, will there be a mix tape, etc. ? (Booth setup: are booths provided? )

A:Go DJ Black N Mild: Performance packages are $200 for 7 minutes. No song limit, just a time limit. Product distribution is ON-SITE only. Vendors are welcome. This and more information is on the registration site http://bumc2012.eventbrite.com

Q:Fantasy:  Where and when will it be held? (i.e. date, location, time) Where can tickets be purchased? Are there any special discounts? When do these discounts expire? What’s the cost at the door? Will there be any Go DJ products that can be purchased on site? What are they? Will this event be filmed? (If so, by what company or person) List all sponsors, press or media, and provide their logo’s if applicable.
