Paul Walker’s Daughter Meadow Walker versus Porsche
Paul Walker, the strikingly handsome, 40 year old, former Fast & Furious star who died in a car crash ( November 30, 2013) nearly two years ago when his race car hit a concrete lamp post and tree, daughter Meadow Walker is filing a lawsuit against Porsche in lieu of her father’s death. Paul Walker died in a fatal car crash and according to sources his 16 year old daughter Meadow Walker is filing a suit because she states… her father burned to death due to his Porsche ( 2005 Carrera GT sports car, 605-hp engine, maximum speed of up to 205 mph) being badly built. The fiery car crash in California claimed both his and professional race car driver, 38-year-old Roger Rodas‘, life. Initially, the police stated the speed killed him and there was no mechanical failure, but Meadow Walker disagrees. In her lawsuit Meadow Walker claims the seat belts were poorly designed, the shoulder belt anchors “traveled with the rear engine compartment while the seat belt anchors remained with the passenger compartment. As a result of the poor design Paul Walker‘s torso snapped back, breaking his ribs and pelvis, flattening his seat, and causing entrapment.
Porsche Possible Design Flaws
Meadow also claims the fire was caused by additional design flaws — rubber fuel lines lacked break-free fittings which are designed to automatically shut off fuel flow and was also short-changed in terms of safety features that are generally found on well-designed racing cars or even Porsche‘s less costly road cars. Meadow Walker says her father was only going 63 to 71 mph when the car spiraled out of control. Investigators said it was traveling up to 94 mph at the time of the deadly crash. In a statement made to Entertainment Weekly, on today, by Porsche —
As we have said before, we are very sad whenever anyone is hurt in a Porsche vehicle, but we believe the authorities’ reports in this case clearly establish that this tragic crash resulted from reckless driving and excessive speed.

This isn’t the first law suit filed against Porsche for this particular incident. In May 2014, Kristine Rodas filed a similar lawsuit against Porsche, approximately one year after Paul Walker and her husband’s ( Roger Rodas) death; they both died and were burned beyond recognition in the same crash. However, Porsche denied defects in its 2005 Carrera GT sports car back then too. The U.S. District Judge Philip Gutierrez dismissed four of the five grounds for Kristine’s lawsuit, which forced her to back out.
In a statement made to People Magazine Meadow Walker’s attorney, Jeff Milam, said…
It is with great reluctance that Meadow Walker has authorized the filing of this lawsuit on her own behalf and as heir to Paul Walker’s estate. She’s a teenage girl who is still dealing with the tragic loss of her father. She values her privacy and won’t be making any comment.
