Skate Against Crime Celebrity Mixer 2013 will take place on April 12, 2013 10pm-1am  at Airline Skate Center 6711 Airline Drive.  The cost of attendance is $10. The event is held annually in the birthday month of our fallen angel Paige Dejean that was murdered by a stray bullet that entered her home while she was asleep.  This year a portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Paige Dejean Scholarship Fund for Criminal Justice Majors at Southeastern Louisiana College. During the event or if you do not wish to attend the event you have the opportunity to support the scholarship fund by purchasing purple bracelets for $5 you will also receive a free paige bookmark with each purchase of a bracelet. The funds collected from bracelets sales goes toward the scholarship fund. Either way you are aiding a Criminal Justice Major reach their goal.

First Priority Management,LLC and  Trae Productions,Inc in association with Step It up is moving forward and pushing the movement to STOP THE VIOLENCE. The purpose of Skate Against Crime Celebrity Mixer is to bring awareness to attendees of all ages the destruction that is being caused by a community that does not stand up. We are showing that if you  stand together you can make a difference. The featured artists for SACCM are motivated to make a change and to stand up for a change. During the event the attendees are motivated to talk to the artists, get their pictures taken, and get autographs. The artists are there for them! The artists love their community and want them to understand just that without the fans there is no them!

This year the attendees are in for a treat. Yes we made a few changes. Change is GOOD! Our guest speaker for the evening will be former City of New Orleans Councilman Oliver Thomas. One noted change for 2013 is LIVE PERFORMANCES! Yes you read right! Not only do we have meet and greet but we will have live performances for SACCM 2013!

The music provider for the evening will be none other than legendary New Orleans Native Definition Djs DJ Chicken! Back by popular Demand!

You may have heard of our opening act around New Orleans. We present to you the Prince of New Orleans JC STYLES! He is currently headlining the Step It Up Movement. The Step It Up Movement is a positive movement that focuses on the need to stop violence and drugs in the community! JC STYLES is doing so awesome he will be featured in NOLAVIE Magazine! He is  an awesome addition to our movement and we are truly honored that STEP IT UP is joining us in our efforts to make a change in the community!

Lucky Lou is another live performer the evening. He is growing in popularity with his positive message that he sends through his music.LuckyLou was able to form a dynamic team. “Through Christ, I am moved. He guides me every step of the way. I believe that I can help others to reach their potential and will do my best to do so. I am not only trying to further my career but also anyone that is inspired by God and is willing to have me helps them.”

Our main act for the evening is none other than Sissy Nobby!With his distinct raspy voice, Nobby weaves elements of bounce, electro, Ragamuffin and rock into a sonic experience unlike anything else. What a wonderful way to end the night!

Legendary Partners N Crime: Partners-N-Crime is a rap group from New Orleans,LA made up of Kango Slimm (born Walter Williams) and Mr. Meana (born Michael Patterson), friends raised in New Orleans, where they met in high school through a mutual friend.[1] The two earned a local buzz performing at various New Orleans talent shows, and eventually signed to Big Boy Records. A rivalry between Partners-N-Crime and Cash Money Records group U.N.L.V.led to further hostilities between Big Boy and Cash Money before the two groups made peace.

The group is considered legendary to locals. Kango Slimm and Mr. Meana are now artists on their own label, H.I.T.Z. International.

Kris Baptiste: Kris Baptiste self proclaimed as the Prince of R&B is a very outgoing person who has a strong passion for music and works tirelessly to fulfill his dream of one day becoming a superstar. He has performed all over the Southern Region. Including Teen Summit, opened for national recording artists Cassidy, Monica, Cupid & more.

Lucky Johnson:Kevin Johnson aka “Lucky Johnson” is Louisiana latest Hollywood rising star. He recently filmed with the motion picture Contraband along side Oscar nominee actor Mark Wahlberg who starred in “Fighter” and Kate Beckensale who starred in “Underworld”.

Image Musiq: comprised of four young men (Johntrell, Christian, Tony, and Brandon), is the hottest new R&b group started in New Orleans, LA under the management of Mia Harrison and M.I.A. Management.

Kawanna Prout:Executive Producer, Writer, Talk Show Host, Entrepreneur, Public Speaker, Community Leader and Events Coordinator. Kawanna is active in the community and has attended various community related events and has directed events and fundraisers. She is also involved in the music community around the city. She hosts monthly showcases for upcoming artists to showcase their talents.
